Used Equip Marketing Rep

PRIMARY FUNCTION :

Assist the Used and Rental Equipment Manager in resourcing, inventory control, marketing and selling used equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :



* Market used equipment:
+ Promote in territory sales by providing current information on inventory and pricing.
+ Assist with marketing and business development with website and promoting used units.


* Locate used equipment necessary for the sales force.


* Assist in and help maintain accurate records on our equipment inventory.


* Assist in managing inventory to maximize return on assets:
+ determine which units/configurations to stock
+ determine condition/repairs necessary for each unit
+ maintain inventory in a clean, neat presentable order.
+ Follow machine deliveries to ensure machines are delivered as promised



* Maintain accurate records on used equipment inventory and sales.


* Assist in appraising potential trades and establishing values.



* Work with outside sales reps to help qualify customer needs, and close where possible.


* Proactively communicates company offers relative to assigned database via telephone, email and other means.


* Accountable for CRM (customer relationship management) with retail customers as per defined database and to update sales data and lease end data.


* Main point of contact for all lease end activities, with sales representative, customer and Hyster Yale Group

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Education :

Four-year college degree with two years sales experience in the heavy equipment business or technical/business college degree in business with four years similar work experience

Position requires commuting to customer locations.

Other :

Requires individual to meet timely and accurate month-end deadlines; Requires excellent communications with customers and interdepartmental associates with any inquiries or rental equipment concerns; PC skills with exposure to internet software, and intermediate skills with Excel
