Volleyball Operations Internship

IMG Academy is seeking a dedicated and organized Volleyball Operations Intern to support our Volleyball year-round Academy Program and camps.

This role blends operations, administration, and athlete experience support, providing hands-on exposure to high-performance sports environments.

The intern will work closely with the Volleyball Program Manager or Directors and coaching staff to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional athlete support.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the boarding school Volleyball Programming


* Assist with execution of weekly and seasonal training schedules.


* Track athlete attendance and help ensure student-athletes are where they need to be (training, lifts, academics, recovery sessions).


* Support operational needs for training sessions (equipment, video setup, stat tracking).


* Serve as a point of contact for student-athlete questions or logistical support.


* Help coordinate and support team travels, events, and off-site competitions.


* Contribute to the delivery of student-athlete services including wellness, nutrition, and personal development sessions.


* Assist with parent communication and distribution of performance or progress updates when applicable.

Program Management Assistance


* Work alongside the Volleyball Program Manager to support administrative duties.


* Assist with data entry, roster updates, and schedule distribution.


* Help prepare team reports, evaluations, and documentation for internal use.


* Assist with gathering and organizing content (photos, video clips) for athlete development or marketing use.


* Support planning and execution of special events (e.g., senior night, media day, recruiting showcases).


* Help gather feedback from athletes, parents, and staff to support continuous program improvement.

Customer Service & Culture Support


* Foster a welcoming and professional environment for both campers and full-time athletes.


* Serve as positive role model and mentor, especially for younger athletes.


* Help monitor and support athlete well-being in collaboration with other department (res life, academics, health services).


* Promote IMG’s core values of integrity, teamwork, performance, and growth.

Camp Operations Support


* Assist with daily logistics and setup for volleyball camps (equipment, hydration stations, courts).


* Support the check-in/check-out process and coordinate daily camp flow.


* Monitor camper attendance and assist with schedule management.


* Help with event logistics including internal tournaments, scrimmages, and showcases.


* Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional training environment.
