Activity Assistant

Reports to: Activities Director

Full Wage Range: $17.25-$22.19 DOE and Seniority

Part time

Summary of Essential Duties:

✨ lead fun and engaging activities for individuals and groups.
✨ Foster meaningful connections between residents, families, and the community.
✨ Assist in developing a monthly activity calendar and tracking attendance.
✨ Support residents with hobbies, crafts, reading, and other self-initiated activities.
✨ Help arrange transportation for resident outings and appointments.
✨ Provide companionship and encouragement to ensure all residents feel included.
✨ Keep activity spaces clean, organized, and welcoming.

What We're Looking For:

✔ Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
✔ Experience: 1 year in a long-term care facility (preferred, but not required).
✔ Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and ability to work with diverse groups.
✔ Certification: Food Handler's Card (or willingness to obtain).
✔ Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
