Staff Accountant, General Accounting

Job Description

As the Staff Accountant, General Accounting, you will play a key role in supporting both Financial and Operational Leadership through execution of accurate financial recordkeeping, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

You will be responsible for both weekly and monthly accounting activities and works closely with Financial Leadership to ensure the integrity of key internal controls over financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Weekly Responsibilities:


* Coordinate cash movements across departments to ensure timely and accurate fund transfers


* Record treasury movements and ensure proper documentation and classification


* Review office cash deposits for accuracy and compliance with Company policies


* Identify and implement process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations

Monthly Responsibilities:


* Prepare standard journal entries in alignment with period-end close schedule


* Record international consolidations, ensuring proper currency translation and elimination of intercompany activity


* Perform analytical review of expense accounts to identify variances and trends


* Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Additional Responsibilities:


* Collaborate with Financial Leadership to monitor and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls


* Support audit and compliance requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations


* Assist in special ad hoc reporting as needed

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:


* Bachelor of Accountancy


* 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience


* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and managing large data sets

You'll Go The Extra Mile, If You Have:


* Master of Accountancy or equivalent program from an accredited college or university


* Active pursuit or completion of CPA license


* Familiarity with SAP is a plus
