As an Ocean Freight Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving Operational excellence and ensuring the team delivers a high standard of customer service. 

Primary Responsibilities:



* Steer teams of operators to complete operational activities in line with GTOM, 1F1O, our service promise and regulatory compliance procedures


* Drive GP maximization on team level


* Proactively monitor and improve operational performance (station monitor, workflow)


* Support team to deliver quality and improve productivity


* Drive customer centricity and focus amongst operators


* First point of escalation point for customers, suppliers or network related irregularities


* Conduct regular performance dialogs and Gemba walks to identify issues and  drive performance improvement


* Identifies training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled operations team

Qualifications:



* Minimum 3 -5 years experience in a supervisory role


* Proven track record in excellent customer relations


* Minimum 5 years in Freight Forwarding and Ocean Freight experience


* Excellent communication, motivation and interpersonal skills


* Strong commercial awareness for growth
