As the Director, Account Management, you will be responsible for managing the customer experience within the company, as well as developing and implementing strategies with existing customers that deliver value.

What you'll do on a typical day:
* Establish a strategic direction for achieving account penetration and delivering plans
* Cultivate new opportunities with customers to diversify and expand our core business
* Utilize a Voice of Customer (VoC) methodology to manage the customer experience within the company
* Promote "game-changing" thinking and continuously generate new ideas to improve processes, service, efficiency, quality and cost
* Maintain accountability for account growth while ensuring that GXO exceeds customers' SLAs and expectations
* Drive value-creating insights, recommendations and solutions to ensure long-term viable relationships are nurtured and sustained
* Hire, lead, train and develop account management staff and drive world-class performance
* Provide leadership in project management, process control, quality initiatives, RFP/RFQ response, creating Statements of Work (SOW), etc.
* Partner with internal teams including Sales, IT, Procurement, Solutions, Engineering & Real Estate on RFP/RFQ response processes, from review to scope discovery to solution design, delivery and operations and commercial execution
* Lead negotiations and develop relationships to navigate both internal and external initiatives
* Stay current on customer's business strategy, trends and supply chain industry trends and communicate to key stakeholders in the organization
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
* 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management
* Availability to travel up to 50% of the time (75% if remote)
* Experience in project management, process control, quality initiatives (Lean/6S), distribution/warehousing, production planning, statistical analysis, pricin...
