Job Summary

Coordinates and supervises all building, elevator and HVAC inspectors and ensures all staff comply with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and ordinances.

Serves as consultant to contractors and the public to ensure construction plans and materials meet the professional standards, requirements, and guidelines.

Act as a liaison to and collaborate with senior management to oversee and enhance the organization, operation, and performance of the department.

This position may be eligible for a signing bonus.

Minimum Qualifications


* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher and


* Five (5) years of building construction and inspection with code compliance or directly related experience is required.


* Three (3) years of prior supervisory experience or


* An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.


* Valid driver's license is required.

This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.

* Ability to set overall direction and hold staff accountable for accomplishing work objectives by fostering positive relationships between employees, leadership, and stakeholders.
