Job Responsibilities


*  Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.


* Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.


* Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.


* Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.


* Assisting with training of newly employed workers.


* Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination

Skills and Competencies


* Warehouse job experience 0-2 years


* Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers.


* Negotiation skills to work with suppliers and make better deals for the company.


* An understanding of purchase order software platforms.


* Good attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.

Physical Skills


* Required up to 50 lbs.


* The work will require you to position yourself regularly to be stationary for 50% of your work-day, and ascend/descend stairs, and kneeling and/or squatting for the remainder of your work-day.


* Must have a valid Driver’s License.


* Exposed to work environments that may contain dirt and dust.

Education


* High School Diploma required


* Graduate of a polytechnic/technical college or technical degree preferred.
