Sourcing Specialist

Responsibilities

The Sourcing Specialist will have responsibility for indirect categories.

The role will be actively involved in projects and analysis that will drive process improvement for the sourcing organization.

Other position responsibilities include maintaining data integrity within SAP and Coupa, the support of the Category Managers and functional directors in the execution of category level strategies inclusive of supplier transaction-level issue resolution and overall supplier performance measurement.

This role is also responsible for analyzing performance and preparing various reports that will support ongoing strategic management of assigned categories with an estimated spend of $20 Million annually.Qualifications



* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/Supply Chain or related field.

Relevant experience in lieu of bachelor's degree will be considered.


* At least 1 year of experience in Sourcing/Supply Chain Planning/Inventory Control.


* Must have the ability to multitask with strong time/priority management skills.


* Must have ability to communicate effectively in person, via WebEx, Phone and via email.


* Strong computer and analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.SAP or Coupa a plus.


* Should possess intermediate organization, facilitation and problem solving skills


* Should possess intermediate stress management and conflict resolution skills


* Ability to represent Avient professionally and ethically in meetings/negotiations directly with supplier representatives and to set the standard for integrity and collaboration in internal meetings.


* Demonstrated process improvement and change management skills.

Final compensation within this range may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
