Fabrication Technician/ Machinist

This Fabrication Technician/Machinist position will be within our West Chester, OH facilities, led by our Ecofit Modernization team with a 40-hour standard work week and potential overtime.

As an Fabrication Technician, a typical day for you might include:



* Inspection of materials and/or parts for conformance with Schneider Electric and industry procedures, specifications and quality standards.


* Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.


* Assisting in the design and fabrication of prototypes, products and product enhancements.


* Conducts quality inspections of finished product, parts, units, or processes to ensure quality standards are met.

Evaluates and initiates resolution of non-conformance of material and/or product.


* Perform work with a focus on safety and maintaining a safe work environment.


* Utilize a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment to perform your tasks.


* Setting up metalwork machinery including waterjet, turret punch, drill presses, brakes, shears.


* Fabricating and constructing metal and copper components.


* Grinding and finishing completed products.

This job might be for you if:



* A high school diploma; technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred


* Experience with metal fabrication and/or machining (including experience with CNC machines)


* Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints


* Knowledge of basic Mathematics


* Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects


* Ability to stand for long periods of time
