Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC - Nurse Support Teams - Diabetes

The Riverside University Health System, (RUHS), is currently recruiting for an Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC to join our Diabetes Nurse Support Team.

In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight of the Joint Commission certified inpatient diabetes program.

The Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC is the supervisory level classification and reports to an appropriate director level management position.

Incumbents assist in the overall supervision and coordination of operations and programs within assigned nursing units.

The scope of responsibility for the Assistant Nurse Manager - MC/CHC spans all aspects of nursing care, 24-hours per day, for multiple inpatient-nursing units or high-valume outpatient units.

Under direction, assists in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing services of specific unit(s) at the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) Medical Center locations as assigned; performs other related duties as required.

Schedule: 4/10; Monday - Friday

The most competitive candidates will possess the following:


* At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.


* At least two years of experience as a Charge Nurse or in a leadership/supervisory role .

Required Licenses and Certifications at time of application:


* Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.


* A Basic Life Support, (BLS), certification issued by the American Heart Association.


* Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)

Additional Differentials:


* Evening Shift (6:00pm to 11:00pm): $2.50 per hour


* Night Shift (11:00pm to 7:30am): $5.00 per hour


* Specialty Care (Diabetes): $2.50 per hour



*Specialty Care differentials will be applied following completion of required specialty training, attainment of all necessary certifications, and departmental determination that the employee is authorized to work independently.
