Senior Human Resources Manager

The Senior Human Resources Manager role is pivotal in shaping the workforce and culture of Avient businesses.

At Avient, this position collaborates closely with the business leadership teams and HR Director to craft and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company's goals.

This role is not just about managing resources; it's about empowering people and propelling the organization towards excellence.

The incumbent's expertise in project and performance management drives the continuous improvement and innovation within the HR department, ultimately contributing to the success of Avient's Advanced Composites business in our global Specialty Engineered Materials segment.

Based out of our Avon Lake, Ohio global headquarters or Birmingham, Alabama manufacturing facility, the focus is on attracting and nurturing top talent, fostering a productive work environment, and ensuring compliance with cost-effective measures across the business and manufacturing locations under their remit.

This includes Englewood, Colorado, Montrose, Colorado, Winona, Minnesota, and Birmingham, Alabama with direct leadership for three HR partners in supporting these locations.Qualifications

Education and Experience


* Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field required.


* Master's degree in business, Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations, Organizational Psychology, or Communications is preferred


* A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the HR field, with a preference for those who have management experience.


* Proven track record of leading and developing HR teams.


* Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations.


* Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.


* Experience in performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.


* Ability to manage a diverse workforce and foster a positive work environment.


* Certification in HR (such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is an asset.
