Position Overview

As an Associate Designer, you'll contribute to the design and development of Altec's industry-leading equipment.

This role involves creating models and drawings of structures and systems based on layouts and sketches, supporting engineering teams with CAD work, and ensuring high-quality technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities


* Create and update basic CAD drawings and perform part setup in ERP systems


* Collaborate with engineers and technical experts to ensure design accuracy


* Follow established specifications to prepare models and drawings


* Ensure technical reviews are completed for quality assurance


* Maintain safety and attention to detail in all tasks


* Travel may be required, occasionally on short notice

Qualifications

Required:


* High School Diploma or GED


* One of the following:
+ Four-year applicable degree
+ Two-year applicable degree
+ Mechanical Design Certificate (e.g., Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate)
+ Two years of drafting experience


* 3D CAD experience preferred (especially for mechanical drafters)


* Strong verbal and written communication skills


* Ability to work independently and collaboratively


* Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
