Phlebotomist

Status: PRN

Shift: Tuesday and Thursday - Early Morning Lab Draws needed.

Location: Avamere Rehabilitation of Eugene - 2360 Chambers St, Eugene OR 97405

Responsibilities:


* Calling in orders


* Assisting in pharmacy orders and retrieving medical records.


* Speaking with patient families as directed


* Data entry


* Contacting facilities and physician offices for patient status, needs and coordination of care


* Patient Contact; vitals, weight, blood pressure, checking pulse.


* Locating patients in advance of physician visit


* Medical billing; insurance authorizations, communication with entities


* Conduct blood draws


* Complete requisition forms


* Deliver tests to the lab

Qualifications:


* High School Diploma or equivalent.


* Must be a licensed Certified Medical Assistant in this state.


* Maintain confidentiality of all patient care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.


* Knowledge of the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols and terms relative to the administration of medications.


* Work positively with staff to coordinate care and physician work flow


* Must speak, read, and write English fluently


* Must have an active CPR/BLS certification
