Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Control Specialist II will be responsible for reviewing title searches and assessing insurance risk factors, while clearly explaining underwriting requirements to guide lenders through real estate transactions.

The position also requires analyzing complex deals—such as those involving trusts, LLCs, or other entities—to evaluate organizational financial conditions and ensure sound decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

 


* Performs standard reviews of title searches and insurance risk factors and must be able to justify and communicate underwriting requirements to counsel buyers, sellers and lenders on real estate transactions


* May analyze transactions involving a trust, LLC or other structure to determine financial conditions of the organization, participation percentage, type of industry, characteristics of employee groups, or past claim experience


* Responsible for evaluating risk and exposures to determine acceptability of business


* Acts as a resource for colleagues, provides guidance to less experienced team members


* Individual contributor working with limited oversight



* Provide analytical support in executing internal control discipline and operational excellence. 


* Gather and organize data to monitor and test the effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans. 


* Prepare documentation for tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk related issues to management. 


* Acts as ambassador of the risk culture.
