Inventory Control Internship

Seeking students with availability for part time or full time hours through year end, then full time hours for Spring semester.

Libbey is offering an immersive Inventory Control Internship opportunity for a student looking to gain experience in various areas of accounting, in addition to valuable insights into plant and warehouse operations.

We are looking for excited, energetic students who are willing to learn! This role will provide you the opportunity to interact with multiple teams, participate in special projects and gain experience with one of Toledo’s most historic companies.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


* Daily review of finished goods inventory transactions


* Identify root cause of inventory adjustments


* Monthly closing responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations


* Assist with maintenance of records retention inventory and dispose of records as appropriate


* Coordinate the annual physical inventory of plant fixed assets and provide corporate accounting with all necessary inventory reporting


* Assist in maintaining reporting of cycle count accuracy


* Standard costing of new items and subcontractor work orders


* Participate in audits for cycle counting and costing


* Identify and implement process improvements

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS


* Current college student actively enrolled in classes


* Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred


* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications


* Willingness to learn multiple areas within Finance


* Strong organizational and time management skills


* Excellent communication skills


* Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
