EHS Engineer

The role of the "Project Safety Manager" is mainly to ensure the company's project complies with local Health, Safety and Environment regulations and Client's HSE requirements, and do maximum effort to prevent an accident.

Project safety manager will be responsible for establishing HSE plan and managing the project site to be safe for SE employees and contractors.

As the Project Safety Manager you must have excellent communication skills (in Korean & English language) and attention to detail in identify work site hazards to maintain lower than agreed acceptance risk levels.

You will also be able to participate partly in the company-wide HS management system operation (including Global level) for improving safe work conditions and execute various HSE programs.

The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.

The goal of the job position is to ensure the assigned Project work site complied to local legal regulations, Schneider Electric SAFE practices, as well as Clients requirements, and to achieve zero accident.

Roles & Responsibilities:


* Ensures Project site regulatory compliance for Safety, Health and Environment field including KOSHA, Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA), SE policy & directives and Clients' HSE requirements


* Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive HSE plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the specific project.


* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.


* Investigate accidents, near misses, and other incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.


* Provide HSE training and safety awareness programs to contractors and other teams.

Lead regular safety meetings with clients & contractors, including toolbox meetings.


* Track and report on HSE performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Ensure adherence to environmental protection measures and to health management programs for complying to local regulations.


* Develop and lead emergency response drills to prepare for various scenarios at the project site.


* For doing various stakeholder coordination, collaborate with management, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on HSE matters.


* Supports Top Management, other Business Units (PM teams) and Country EHS leader in HSE Management System standard operation.


* Participate in other project bidding, project discussion related to HSE matters.


* Assist procurement in overall contractor's pre-qualification, and manage the company's contractor safety passport program.


* Manage and report serious near misses reviewing on country level, track and follow-up action plan with the service team.


* Support other auxiliary work related to company-wide contractor safety management including contractor safety day coordination & safety training
