Position Summary:
Baby Café is a welcoming, supportive drop-in center where pregnant and breastfeeding parents receive expert lactation care in a relaxed, community-based setting.

We are part of a national network of Baby Cafés that provide free, high-quality breastfeeding support to all families.

Our goal is to empower parents through education, encouragement, and compassionate care in a culturally sensitive environment.

We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) to join our Baby Café team to be a Clinical Co-lead.

They will provide direct lactation support, lead the breastfeeding support group sessions, and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere where parents feel welcomed, informed, and confident in their feeding choices.


* Serve as a clinical co-lead in operating the Baby Café, including opening the session, facilitating discussions, and ensuring a smooth and supportive experience from start to close.


* As Clinical Co-lead, will co-direct clinical discussions and give advice by assessing and addressing common and complex breastfeeding challenges, using evidence-based sources.

Support diverse family structures and feeding goals with evidence-based care.


* As Clinical Co-lead, will lead group education and stay current in best practices and continuing education in lactation support.


* Collaborate with partners when needed.


* Volunteer coordination to help establish the Baby Café, promote the Baby Café in the community, and attendance of regular check-ins with the manager and the Baby Café team at South End


* CLC will attend the mandatory initial BCUSA training and will attend updated “Refresher Trainings” that are deemed necessary by BCUSA, or requested by the staff and/or sponsors of the Baby Café.
