Position Summary:
Receives stores, maintains, and distributes materials and equipment in accordance with departmental policies to meet customers’ needs.
Reports to the Materials Manager.
* Maintains adequate levels of inventory.
* Receive all goods, inspect for damages, and verify against purchase orders.
* Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
* Enter receipts in the Oracle database.
* Provide courteous phone coverage and respond to requests with a sense of urgency.
* Always maintain confidentiality.
* Maintain delivery vehicles in accordance with vehicle policies.
* Maintain the stockroom area making sure that room is clean, safe, and orderly.
* Promotes courteous and respectful interpersonal relationships with staff, providers, and visitors all times.
* Wear designated uniform and are well groomed.
* Promotes a sense of “teamwork” through demonstration of self-direction and self-motivation.
Solves problems independently or knows when to seek consultation.
Works cooperatively and respectfully with others at all levels of the organization.
* Performs other duties as assigned within the timeframes established by the requester.
* Adheres to all Neighborhealth and department policies.
Physical Environment:
Frequent sitting, standing & walking, and lifting to 50 lbs.
Responsible for supply delivery outdoors and in all weather conditions.
Manual Dexterity:
Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate computer keyboard.
Audible/Visual Demands:
Requires ability to see computer screens and reports.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
EXPERIENCE: One to two years’ work experience preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must maintain a valid MA driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be able to push/pull hand truck and lift boxes.
