* Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelors degree in Welding, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
* Familiar with the specifications AMS2694 and D17.1.
* Experience with Group 6 alloys.
* Experience in welding inspection, training, and auditing of process to industry standards.
* Knowledge of MS Office, Minitab, JMP, excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Howmet Process Management a plus.
Howmet Aerospace, Engines currently seeks a Weld Process Engineer.
This person will support the manufacture of Titanium casting product through process control and improvement initiatives specific to the Weld process.
The position is located in Whitehall, Michigan near beautiful Lake Michigan and White Lake, at our Plant 5, Ti-Cast Operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Responsible for ensuring that the weld processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as detailed in the Business Unit (BU) manual, business operating procedures, and customer requirements.
* Educate operators about the process and proper procedures, including creating/revising work instructions and training materials.
