Lead Architect [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: The individual will be an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products.

Drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Represent a product family of technical governance bodies.

Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices.

Guide evaluation of current technology and lead evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks.

Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.

Develop secure and high-quality production code, reviews, and debugs code written by others.

Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.

Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.

Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Architect, Principal Programmer Technical Lead, Applications Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Preparing and documenting Architecture Diagrams to facilitate understanding and communication in software development; Providing Technical guidance to align product and engineering teams with goals; Establishing development and deployment standards to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational policies; Developing Enterprise Applications using Java and JEE Technologies for scalable and reliable business solutions; Developing applications using Object Oriented Programming following design patterns for scalable and reliable business solutions; Developing Service Oriented Architecture Applications and SOA Modules to enhance flexibility and scalability; Developing interoperable Web Services using Java, REST, SOAP, WSDL, JAXB and XML technologies for solutions to requirements; Refactoring Java code to improve performance, maintainability, and modernization; Testing web services using SOAP UI to ensure functionality.
