SC Banker (Multiple Positions Available)
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Provide wealth management advice and solutions to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families in Latin American (LATAM), specifically Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, using the Spanish language to communicate with clients.
Address clients' complex financial issues and propose innovative wealth management solutions.
Navigate legally-intricate cross-border transactions within and across different LATAM countries, ensuring smooth and compliant international operations.
Conduct legal research on the complex regulatory environments in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, advising clients on their legal options for wealth preservation in these countries while fulfilling other financial needs such as credit, investments, or banking.
Protect and maintain client confidentiality during investment discussions in accordance with country-specific laws and regulations.
Provide a holistic approach to the client's balance sheet, using the Spanish language to present options to clients.
Advise clients on investment strategies and structure financial products that minimize legal and financial risks to both clients and the bank.
Draft, review, and negotiate various financial contracts, including investment agreements, loan documents, and trust deeds, ensuring protection of both the bank's and the client's interests.
Execute legally-binding financial agreements and conduct \"Know Your Client\" (KYC) processes, relying on one's comprehension of the controlling economic aspects of these sensitive transactions.
Drive new client acquisition and business development in the LATAM region, using Spanish to broaden one's professional client network.
Leverage personal and professional networks to onboard new clients and deepen the book of business in the region.
Connect new and existing clients to other teams and lines of business in the bank.
Coordinate and introduce specialists to provide expertise on different topics to clients.
Ensure financial transactions and client interactions adhere to country-specific legal standards.
This position requires up to 25% international travel to Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay to visit various client sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Finance, Legal Studies/Law, Strategic Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as SC Banker, Counsel, Associate (Business/Law/Finance), Trader/Analyst, or related occupation.
The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Legal Studies/Law, Strategic Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as SC Banker, Counsel, Associate (Business/Law/Finance), Trader/Analyst, or related occupation.
