Lead Maintenance Services Mechanic

The County of Riverside seeks a candidate to fill a position with Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Arlington Plant Operations department.

The County of Riverside Arlington Plant Operations Department has an opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Services Mechanic, based at the Riverside Plant Operations Arlington Campus.

The Lead Maintenance Services Mechanic will assign, inspect and perform skilled and semi-skilled work required for preventive and corrective action on electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other mechanical systems and equipment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing specialized and skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of building systems and equipment.

In addition to hands-on duties, this role includes leading year-round maintenance programs to ensure all facilities are maintained at optimal standards.

The candidate will supervise building maintenance staff, custodians, and specialized trade personnel, coordinating the assignment of both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

This position carries leadership responsibilities over plumbers, painters, carpenters, and electricians, and oversees maintenance operations throughout the County facility.

The candidate will conduct regular inspections to assess the quality of work performed by staff and ensure compliance with regulations and standards established by The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

These inspections are critical to maintaining safe, functional, and compliant environments across all buildings and grounds.

Competitive candidates will possess prior professional journey level experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical work along with basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook (e-mail) and Excel.

This position will be 5/40 schedule Monday - Friday 7A-3:30P and include some travel therefore a California Drivers License is required.
