Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) and Koch Minerals & Trading (KM&T) are seeking a Cyber Security Architect to join our cross-business technology team in Wichita, KS .

This strategic role will shape and drive security architecture across operational and enterprise environments, ensuring robust protection against evolving threats.

As a technical thought leader, you'll collaborate with Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), and business partners to design secure, scalable solutions tailored to diverse environments.

What You Will Do


* Security Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure architecture for both IT and OT systems across KAES and Koch Minerals


* Collaboration & Influence: Partner with business and technical stakeholders to align security strategy with business objectives and risk appetite


* Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks in enterprise, ICS/OT, and cloud environments


* Secure Design Reviews: Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and design validation for new and existing projects


* Technology Leadership: Evaluate emerging technologies, recommend solutions, and lead PoCs/pilots for security tools and platforms


* Incident Preparedness: Develop incident response strategies and support investigations in collaboration with operational and corporate teams


* Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies, frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS), and regulatory requirements


* Continuous Improvement: Stay current on threat landscape, continuously improving security controls and processes

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems OR Four (4+) or more years of professional cybersecurity architecture experience


* Five (5+) or more years of experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture or engineering


* Experience securing cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure)
