Data Management - Vice President
Join our Global Banking - Product and Experience (GB-PX) team as a Data Management Lead, where you'll drive innovative data strategies that empower decision-making and fuel business growth.
Drive the delivery of data solutions, governance, and analytics initiatives that support our business operations and strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data management, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the integrity, compliance, and value of our data assets.
As a Data Management Lead you will serve as a subject matter expert, coordinating between providers and consumers to ensure business data is understood, fit for purpose, and well governed.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize critical data needs, ensuring data is of good quality, well-protected, effectively integrated and utilized across the organization.
By leading efforts to mitigate data risks, enhance data quality, and support data strategy, you will ensure that data serves as a trusted asset, empowering decision-making and innovation.
Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a data-driven culture that supports the organization's growth and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and prioritize multiple projects and programs, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business strategy.
* Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies throughout project and data lifecycles.
* Develop and oversee processes for data risk management, including protection, retention, storage, use, and quality.
* Build and maintain relationships with data providers, consumers, and leaders across Business, Technology, Risk, and Control functions.
* Collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, and various programs to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure compliance with firm-wide standards.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of the firmwide Data Risk Management Standard and review policies for CDAO alignment.
* Manage forums and stakeholder meetings, including preparing materials and soliciting agenda items.
* Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, provide regular updates to senior management, and escalate issues as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years in data management, governance, or analytics within financial services/fintech; 2+ years in compliance/risk data roles
* Deep understanding of data management, governance, and lifecycle; advanced product development and analytics knowledge; skilled in large data sets, SQL, ETL; experience with BI tools (Sigma, Tableau, QlikSense, Alteryx, Cognos)
