This position is an exciting entry-level opportunity with room for advancement.

Compensation: Starting pay for this role is $21.09/hr.

This role also offers opportunities for overtime and employees are eligible for quarterly bonuses.
Shift: This position works rotating 12-hour shift schedule, that includes weekends, holidays, and overtime.

The Georgia-Pacific Brunswick mill, which has been in operation since 1937, has the capability to produce over 800,000 tons of cellulose each year.

What You Will Do



* Perform quality checks and keeping designated work area clean throughout the shift


* Operate all lab equipment needed for 2 labs, document results in the computer systems, cover shift vacancies and support machine trials


* Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for at least 12 or more hours per day(lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping)


* Work in a fast-paced, industrial environment that is hot, cold, humid, and noisy and may include working around dust, oil grease, chemicals and other substances


* Assist crew members and working in a team environment to meet and exceed safety, production, and quality goals


* Strive 100% of the time to fully comply and ensure excellence with all areas of Georgia-Pacific compliance, environmental, safety, policies, procedures and principles


* Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets


* Identify and perform value-creating work; and assist with troubleshooting minor machine malfunctions, making machine adjustments, and equipment change overs, this may include, working in high and/or confined spaces.


* Embrace change, share knowledge with others, create customer value, treat others with respect and dignity.

* Work rotating shifts (24 hours a day 7 days a week), long hours, weekends, including Sundays, overtime, and holidays when needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* High school diploma or GED


* Experience using computers, laptop, tablet or smart phone for record-keeping and documentation functions


* One year experience in quality control within an industrial manufacturing environment
