The Neuropsychiatry Discovery department at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Scientist, Neuropsychiatry, located in San Diego, CA, USA.

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative researcher, who will actively engage and contribute to discovery efforts to support the Johnson & Johnson Neuropsychiatry strategy.

This individual will be responsible for advancing research initiatives and support pipeline programs by applying their expertise and experience.

This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and drug development to improve outcomes for patients suffering from psychiatric diseases.

Key Responsibilities:



* Designs, performs and interprets biochemical, cellular and molecular biology experiments, and creatively develops and troubleshoots experimental protocols.


* Independently reworks experiments and/or analyses based on interpretations and integration of emerging literature


* Prepares and records experimental reports that include detailed methods and materials, raw data, data analyses and graphs, and conclusions in an electronic laboratory notebook.


* Follows laboratory safety and data integrity guidelines.


* Presents experimental results during group and project team meetings.


* Collaborates effectively with cross-department team members to deliver on goals and objectives, and mentors more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
