The Neuropsychiatry Discovery department at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for an Associate Scientist, Neuropsychiatry, located in San Diego, CA, USA.

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher, who will actively engage and contribute to discovery efforts to support the Johnson & Johnson Neuropsychiatry strategy.

This individual will be responsible for advancing research initiatives and support pipeline programs.

This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and drug development to improve outcomes for patients suffering from psychiatric diseases.

Key Responsibilities:



* Conducts and interprets assigned biochemical, cellular and molecular biology experiments, and creatively develops and troubleshoots experimental protocols.


* Prepares and records experimental reports that include detailed methods and materials, raw data, data analyses and graphs, and conclusions in an electronic laboratory notebook.


* Maintains current laboratory equipment and operates analytical and other instruments.


* Follows laboratory safety and data integrity guidelines.


* Presents experimental results during group and project team meetings.


* Develops a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication.

Qualifications-Education:

Master’s degree, OR a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or a similar field is required.
