Your Role: Associate Scientist – Quality Control (Entry Level)

As an Associate Scientist, you will be part of the Tech Services Manufacturing Sciences (TSMS) or Quality teams at Elanco, contributing to the production and release of commercialized animal health products.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting process development, analytical testing, and technical investigations in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities:


* Support manufacturing operations through process monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and quality control testing


* Perform analytical techniques such as HPLC, ICP, wet chemistry, and microbiological assays in a Quality Control Lab


* Assist in the preparation of technical documents such as protocols, reports, and regulatory submissions


* Contribute to process improvement initiatives and deviation investigations


* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and development teams

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


* Education: Currently enrolled in or graduating with a BA, BS, or MS in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering)


* Required Experience: N/A (Entry-level role)


* Strong analytical and communication skills

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):


* Previous internship or co-op experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry


* Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)


* Familiarity with analytical methods such as HPLC, ICP, AA, titration, or microbiological assays


* Experience writing technical reports or supporting regulatory documentation


* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
