Newcastle - hybrid working, you'll be based from our Newcastle office, from home and with national travel approximately 2-3 days per month

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)

Salary circa £35,000 pa (depending on experience) plus brilliant benefits including health cash plan!

Want to be our go-to person, ensuring our buildings across the UK are welcoming, compliant and running like a dream?  As Facilities Manager here at Home Group, you’ll will do just that, working with our National Facilities Manager to ensure our buildings are operating smoothly, managing their day-to-day running and solving problems on the go.

This is more than just managing buildings, you’ll be creating workspaces that are inclusive, welcoming and make life better for our colleagues, customers, and visitors who work or live there.

What you’ll do


* Overseeing the maintenance and smooth running of our buildings to keep them safe, compliant, and efficient for everyone.  You’ll ensure all of our buildings are compliant with statutory legislation including maintenance, Health and Safety, Fire Safety and site security.


* Visible on our sites, undertaking regular checks and making sure everything is running smoothy, readily contactable and reacting quickly to any challenges.


* Managing contractors and suppliers to ensure they deliver fantastic services, from cleaning, maintenance, security, waste, catering and postage, to name just a few.


* Ensuring our SMART building systems are working effectively whether it’s Audio-Visual equipment or other building management systems.


* Ensuring our buildings are safe and secure at all times, colleagues, contractors and visitors are fully inducted with security and Health and Safety awareness, knowledge of our First Aiders and emergency evacuation procedures.

What you bring


* Experience in facilities management, working with contractors/suppliers and supporting general building operations.


* Broad knowledge of relevant regulation and statutory compliance surrounding facilities management across multiple sites.


* Knowledge of building systems (such as MEP, BMS, NET2) and all statutory and non-statutory compliance requirements for workplaces.  Good understanding of purchasing, invoicing & procurement processes.


* Knowledge of reasonable adjustments and DSE requirements.


* Be a self-starter, with an eye for detail, positive and solutions focused to be able to bring new solutions to unpredictable problems.


* A full UK driving licence and able to travel and work across the UK, around two-three days per month.  You’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes.
