Your Role: As a Menu Coordinator, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our patients' dining needs are met with care and excellence.

Your daily responsibilities will include assisting patients with menu selection, entering in custom menus, and delivering outstanding service that brightens every mealtime.

Work schedule:Full time 9am-5pm Monday - Friday, every other weekend

Pay: $16 - $20 based on experience

Job Description:

Performs various duties associated with the production and service of patient meals.

Qualifications:


* Must have good computer skills and be extremely detail oriented


* Must be able to take prioritize tasks and manage time appropriately


* Looking for someone with great customer services and communication skills.


* Must have a sincere interest in food service and enjoy working with healthcare patients


* Must have knowledge, or willing to learn, therapeutic and modified diet information to use in preparing and serving patient trays.


* Must work cooperatively and productively with all departments.


* Must arrive to work on time and fulfill the responsibilities of the position during the scheduled shift.


* Must be able to work under supervision.


* Duties and Responsibilities:


* Ensure meal order entry is completed timely and accurately into the computer system.


* Enters weekly patient menus into computer system


* Go day by day meal by meal to ensure patient gets what they ordered


* Prints and organizes tray tickets for all meals, also production sheets


* Will be the expert go-to person for the meal tracking software, to make changes to diets, patient orders, ticket notes, etc.


* Hands out selective menus to patients and sometimes help patients fill them out


* Meet patients and record orders and preferences.


* Must demonstrate qualities of being a self-starter and be able to make independent decisions when necessary.


* Has a thorough understanding of all regulations which affect dietary including, but not limited to, patient care, sanitation, labor, fire, safety, and disaster and complies to these regulations.


* Assists in maintaining the dietary department in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner and reports any problems to the Dietary Manager.


* Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products.

Dates, labels, and stores items properly.

Uses proper food handling techniques.
