Located in Molecular Characterization within Large Molecule Research, we focus on novel therapeutic antibodies and next generation biologics.
Your Team
We offer an internship in "Functional Characterization," where you'll work with multidisciplinary teams of associates/scientists dedicated to the in-depth characterization of complex biologics.
This project based internship in the field of synthetic biology/immunology is focusing on the development of a highly sensitive stable reporter gene cell line to characterize next generation large molecule therapeutics and evaluate new technologies for the development of potency assays.
Your tasks and responsibilities
* Development and application of cell-free protein-protein or cell-based protein-cell interaction methods, especially ELISA and cell based assays, for the functional characterization of therapeutic protein drugs.
* Interpretation of data and transfer of results to your supervisor.
* Support interdisciplinary teams within the unit of Molecule Characterization.
* Contribution to the establishment/adaption of new protocols.
* Participating in bringing new molecules to the patients.
Your profile
* You are currently enrolled as a Master student in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology or a comparable study program for the entire duration of the internship
* You are excited about learning new techniques, data processing, evaluation, and discussing results
* You are willing to perform wet lab experiments and eager to establish new techniques
* You are a highly motivated person, a strong team player, but capable of working independently where necessary
* You have experience with aseptic techniques and mammalian cell culture practices
* You have interest and basic knowledge in cell-based molecular biology methods
