EHS-Safety Summer Internship 2026
Our internships provide an opportunity to learn what it takes to run a food manufacturing line.
Your experience will be project based, with projects varying depending on current business needs.
Typical projects include process improvement projects, related to improving yield, reducing waste, etc.
As an intern you can expect to gain valuable experience and insight into the workings of food manufacturing environment.
At conclusion of Internship you are expected to prepare a final presentation on the results of your assigned project(s) and will present your findings to members of the Corporate management team.

Collect, document, review, and transfer test results from external sources to internal documentation
Work is generally performed within a manufacturing environment subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE, with standard office equipment available along with plant manufacturing environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
• Reviews and updates safety policies and procedures on a routine and as needed basis to assure compliance
with applicable required federal, state, and local regulations and corporate standards.
• Participates and/or executes EHS related audits and inspections on a routine basis to verify compliance and
identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promotes safety awareness and culture throughout the facility on all shifts using established, recognized and
innovative risk reduction techniques.
• Follows up and helps manage workers compensation, liability or property claim investigations as related to
root cause practices or behaviors and assist with identifying corrective actions.
• Administers EHS related training classes.
• Tracks EHS metrics and manages related data.
• Ability to communicate EHS metrics and goals to facility leadership and hourly employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills
• Knowledge of how to understand and apply EHS regulations, industry best practices and other related
guidelines.
