Robotics & Digital Solutions is a part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for a Systems Integration Engineer with a focus on mechatronics systems, located in Santa Clara, CA.

J&J Robotics was established in 2020 with the integration of Auris Health, Verb Surgical, C-SATS, and Ethicon.

It comprises three key med-tech platforms: Flexible Robotics (MONARCH®), Surgical Robotics (OTTAVA™), and Digital Solutions.

The Systems Integration Engineer will support sustaining and development of OTTAVA's robotic surgical subsystems.

The primary focus of this position is planning and implementation of subsystem integration activities, including bring-up of proof-of-concepts and initial builds.

The candidate will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, robotics controls and software engineers in root-cause analysis and documentation of design, manufacturing and algorithmic flaws in order to increase subsystem reliability.

The candidate will also assist in development of new hardware functional test methods, and conducting engineering studies to characterize feasibility and stability.
