IoT Design Engineer

Our manufacturing facilities located in Clackamas, Oregon, Vancouver, Washington, and Rock Hill, SC, allow us to serve diverse sectors such as Agriculture, Industrial, Municipal, Rental, and Mining.

We're seeking a full-time IoT Design Engineer with expertise in pressure transducers, flow meters, vibration accelerometers, and other process sensors.

Strong knowledge of Modbus, CANbus, and experience with engine, motor, or generator controllers is required.

This role focuses on designing and integrating advanced sensing and communication solutions for next-generation industrial systems.

Salary range: $70K-$90K (DOE), exempt.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, with some latitude for unreviewed action, plans and designs mechanical & electrical equipment, as approved for product development programs.

Engages in hardware/software troubleshooting and end-user support of existing monitoring systems.

May provide technical guidance and assistance to other Cornell Engineers, Technicians, Drafters, and Sales personnel by performing the duties outlined below.

What You'll Do:


* Interface with sales representatives and end users to collect information about customer needs.

This will require travel in some instances.


* Develop project proposals including costs, economic project values, and schedules.


* Integrate sensors, including pressure transducers, flow meters, vibration accelerometers, level sensors, etc., with IIOT devices.


* Design, schedule, and perform all required product testing and evaluation of results.


* Provide dealer, end user, and sales staff training in product application and maintenance.
