Temporary Community Services Assistant

The Department of Social Services (DPSS) - seeks a Temporary Community Services Assistant to join our team!

The County of Riverside's Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) seeks to fill multiple Temporary Community Services Assistant positions to support the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS).

The incumbents will be responsible for providing information and educating the public on the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program services, IHSS Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), and IHSS Timesheets.

They will travel throughout the county to facilitate meetings, appointments, and outreach events, helping the public understand IHSS policies and facilitating presentations to provide information in large and small settings.

They will gather basic information and assist the public with necessary program forms, as well as assist with problems related to IHSS timesheets and/or EVV, both in-person and over the phone.

Effective communication with internal and external customers, as well as providing appropriate public responses both verbally and in writing, is essential.

They will assist in coordinating presentations and appointments for EVV and Timesheet services, track and log attendees of presentations or meetings, and maintain and update records related to participation and outcomes.

Additionally, they will review information on databases to assess cases and provide appropriate assistance, provide support and education to participants during outreach events, and assist in preparing materials for presentations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Location: Moreno Valley, CA

Ideal Candidate: To be considered for this position, you MUST have a valid California driver's license.

Ability to drive for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Competitive candidates will be bilingual and have previous experience with social services or community outreach programs.
