Engineering Technician – Multi-skilled - voco Cairo Arabella Plaza

We are looking for an Engineering Technician – Multi-skilled who will support the Engineering team in maintaining the hotel’s facilities, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring systems and equipment operate smoothly in line with IHG standards.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:


* Carrying out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair work across different trades (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general maintenance).


* Responding promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues.


* Supporting the Engineering team with installations, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.


* Assisting in maintaining records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing.


* Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, energy-saving initiatives, and local regulations.


* Coordinating with other departments to minimize service disruptions.


* Maintaining tools, equipment, and workshop areas in safe and good condition.


* Assisting with special projects and hotel improvement initiatives.

What we need from you:


* Diploma or technical certification in Engineering, Maintenance, or related field.


* 1–3 years’ experience in hotel or facility maintenance, preferably in a multi-skilled role.


* Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.


* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


* Ability to work on shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.


* Team player with good communication and organizational skills.
