Pay Rate: $34.07 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: 8 hr.

day work shift, times and days will fluctuate depending on the coverage area.

Sign on Bonus:$1500 - $250 paid after 30 days of employment.

$500 paid after 6 months of employment.

$750 paid after 12 months of employment.

Primary Function: Utility Technician (Boiler\Refrigeration\Waste Treatment)

The Utility Operator reports to the Utilities Supervisor to ensure the smooth daily function of the plant to include Boiler Room, Ammonia Systems, and Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Key components of the position will also include assurance of quality and safety practices and facilitation of teamwork among the entire Operations, Maintenance, and Utility group.

Ensures all preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment within the scope of the Boiler Room, Ammonia Systems, and WWTP.

Assist with implementation and development of continuous improvement ideas.

This technician will also serve as relief and vacation coverage for all three Utility section, for any shift needed covering the appropriate hours.

This position requires knowledge and experience in one of the Utility areas.

The facility will ensure proper training and licensing in the remaining areas where needed.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:


* Ensures all PMs/Repairs to equipment including ammonia system, compressed air systems, cooling towers, condensers, water softeners, HVAC and related equipment are complete.


* Responsible for efficiency of equipment and safe operations of the plant Ammonia Systems.


* Review, understand and comply with all PSM requirements for the plant

Boiler Operations:


* Monitor boilers per regulated standards.


* Test boiler feed water and condensate and log results.


* Blow down boilers per schedule.


* Monitor the ammonia (refrigeration) system.


* Monitor the plant compressed air system.


* Monitor and manipulate water systems as needed.


* Record and manage shift log, perform shift crossover daily.


* Responsible for Operator Care - basic lubrication, inspection adjustments, minor repairs, cleaning, calibration, preventative and light maintenance
