In this role, you will:


* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair paper manufacturing and converting equipment, including pumps, gear reducers, high speed winders, orbital saws, wrappers, and packaging and conveying equipment.


* Perform routine service, setup, adjustments, and repairs to ensure optimal performance of production equipment.


* Apply general mechanical skills including lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machining, piping, and sheet metal work.


* Execute predictive and preventive maintenance tasks on heavy industrial machinery to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.


* Install, troubleshoot, and maintain ball and roller bearings, ensuring proper fit and function.


* Conduct horizontal laser alignment for precision setup of rotating equipment.


* Perform basic pipe fitting and welding tasks to support equipment installation and repair.


* Safely rig and lift large equipment using proper techniques and tools for large equipment replacements.


* Use hand tools, portable electric tools, and maintenance shop equipment proficiently for mechanical tasks and repairs.


* Carry out basic machinist tasks, such as cutting and broaching keyways on drive line components, minor parts modification, etc.


* Work collaboratively in a self-directed, operations-driven team environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
