Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join AutoZone's Commercial IT team.

This position will support and lead up to two development teams as they mature existing products and create new applications using the latest technologies.

Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years of scrum master experience working with multi-cultural, multi-regional cross functional teams.

In addition, the candidate should be able to lead efficient strategies and tactics, follow best practices and standards set-up within the organization and provide leadership in implementing new processes.

Bonus points for prior experience as a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects and programs
• Decide on suitable strategies and objectives for the product team
• Facilitate sprint planning, sprint refinement, retrospectives, sprint reviews and daily scrum meetings
• Collaborate between developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
• Coach team members in Agile frameworks and Guide teams to higher scrum maturity
• Effective and clear verbal and written communication
• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g.

from customers or stakeholders)
• Support the product owner and provide education where needed by work with product owners to handle backlogs, prioritization and new requests
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur for the team
• Help teams implement changes effectively
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
• Monitor and improve the team's velocity.
• Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it
• Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
• Help the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
• Lead and develop a self-organized scrum team
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
• Formulate, organize and drive inter-connected project across multiple teams
• Guide the team to apply the 5 whys to each proposed user story
• Guide the team to focus on the desired behavior or outcomes
• Provide weekly executive summaries of the project's progress

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Agile
• Prior experience in project management is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in management or a relevant field
• Excellent organizational, communication, management and leadership skills
• Experience with budget, scope and schedule management
• Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
