Lead Packaging Operator - Second Shift

The Krusteaz Company is looking for a Second Shift Lead Packaging Operator to join our Manhattan team! The Lead Packaging Operator is responsible for leading the operations of a production line that involves packaging trail and snack mix products according to customer and company specifications.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate documentation of production, which includes recording production outputs, quality checks, equipment inspections, KPI information, rework, downtime, materials consumption, etc.    

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.   


* Performing quality checks on all materials, ingredients, and finished products.    


* Conducting preventive maintenance, including daily and monthly sanitation of packaging areas.    


* Implementing, maintaining, performing self-audits, and documenting sanitation systems to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Local, and company regulations.    


* Assist in training employees as changes or new methods arise.    


* Leading and mentoring team members to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards.    


* Ensuring smooth workflow and resolving any issues that arise during the packaging process.    

Position Requirements:    


* Demonstrated leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment.    


* Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve production targets.    


* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.    


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead team members.    


* Ability to provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members.    


* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure efficient workflow.    


* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.    


* Experience: Previous leadership experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment.    


* Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure compliance with standards.    


* Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently throughout the shift.    


* Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments.
