Warehouse Manager

Responsible for various support functions at facility in accordance with LB Foster, ISO standards, supervising warehouse/yard employees for shipping, receiving and yard management, and management of assigned special projects.  Overseas the operations of the warehouse to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed in accordance with procedures and schedule.

Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)


* Oversee and monitor the operational activities within the warehouse/yard including inventory count, product organization, and shipping.

Work closely with warehouse/yard personnel and production Foreman to ensure all product shipments are properly loaded and paperwork is complete.

Ensure customs or Hazmat documents are present and correct as shipments dictate.


* Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring safe use of equipment.

Organize, lead, and train employees to complete assigned work, utilizing equipment and inventory processes within established guidelines and timeframes.

Includes scheduling employee work hours and vacations.


* Maintain required paperwork and documentation of all work performed on equipment as outlined in preventative maintenance program.


* Responsible for shipping of production products per schedule and ensure all materials for shipping are ordered on time for scheduled shipping dates.


* Ensure that all materials are visually checked to maintain high quality standards and examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.


* Ensure shipments are packaged securely and routed correctly.


* Oversee yard safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures are followed.


* Demonstrate 5S standards and ensure they are maintained for a clean and safe work environment.


* All other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements: 


* High school diploma required.


* A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred.


* 5 years’ Warehouse/yard experience in a manufacturing environment required.


* 3 years in a supervisory role preferred.

Skills & Abilities: 


* Excellent leadership skills, including abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict


* Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning activities


* Effective verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization


* In depth knowledge of inventory control practices and logistics


* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite


* Ability to embrace change and adapt to growth


* Comfortable using inventory management software


* New warehouse setup and strategic storage ideology


* First In First Out experience
