Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson Medtech Orthopedics, is recruiting for a Production Planning Co-Op, located in Warsaw, Indiana.  Johnson & Johnson Medtech Orthopedics is a multinational orthopedics manufacturer, producing hip, knee, shoulder, and extremity implants and instrument sets for joint reconstruction and replacement surgeries.

The production planning group is focused on delivering end-to-end supply chain value through coordination of all activities leading into, throughout, and away from the manufacturing shop floor.  This position is unique among co-op opportunities.  The successful candidate will be able to quickly form connections with many stakeholders of various backgrounds, operate in a fast-paced environment where no two days are alike, and work with a significant level of autonomy.  The business will make decisions based upon the co-op’s analysis, suggestion, and reporting.

The Production Planning Co-Op will:


* Own a small portfolio of products for all production planning and scheduling processes.


* Be responsible for capacity planning, master production scheduling, and detailed scheduling for the assigned portfolio.


* Maintain detailed scheduling for multiple value streams.


* Drive inventory adherence to entitlement targets in both raw material and finished goods.


* Become a critical, relied-upon member of the manufacturing value stream team.


* Operate in a dependable, self-sufficient manner among a team of production planners.


* Develop and run functional reports for the production planning department.


* Participate in a monthly forum with site leadership, presenting on supply challenges posed by complexities in the supply chain for the assigned portfolio.


* Connect with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and distribution colleagues to ensure customer service targets are met.


* Communicate broadly, both within site to all levels (wage employees through site manager) and external to site (other internal J&J plants as well as suppliers).


* Provide updates to domestic and international partners and markets on supply projections.


* Lead activities for a network of co-ops at the local Warsaw, Indiana facility.
