We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wound Care Nurse who will also serve as our Infection Prevention Nurse.

✨ Position Summary:
The Wound Care / Infection Prevention Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound care for residents, as well as leading infection prevention and control initiatives.

This role plays a key part in maintaining the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents and staff.

? Key Responsibilities:


* Assess, document, and manage residents' wounds, pressure injuries, and skin conditions.


* Develop individualized wound care plans and provide education to staff on wound management.


* Oversee infection prevention and control program in compliance with state and federal regulations.


* Conduct infection surveillance, reporting, and analysis.


* Educate staff on infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene and standard precautions.


* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote resident safety and quality outcomes.

✅ Qualifications:


* Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred (LPNs with strong experience will be considered).


* Previous wound care and/or infection prevention experience preferred.


* Certification in Wound Care or Infection Control a plus, but not required.


* Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


* Commitment to resident-centered care and regulatory compliance.

Ensure that the facility follows current CDC, OSHA, and local regulations concerning infection control or standard/universal precautions.

Develop, maintain, and periodically update infection control precautions and aseptic technique that successfully correct problem areas.
