Areas of Responsibility & Accountability
1.
Must maintain Positive attitude.
2.
Must maintain excellent attendance.
3.
Verify and maintain Paint viscosity in relationship to paint reduction with different types of reducing solvents.
4.
Ensure paint is ready for production as requested.
5.
Maintain records, forms and data entries in paint kitchen.
6.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and clean all paint mixing equipment and the paint kitchen area to ensure a safe and organized workspace.
7.
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous paint materials and waste.
8.
Work closely with Robot technicians, Production/Quality supervisors and other personnel to ensure a seamless workflow and provide the correct materials for each job painting
9.
Assist in troubleshooting paint issues that arise during the application process.
10.
Maintain procedures and equipment to improve efficiency and first-time yield capability.
11.
Help with continuous improvement actions.
12.
Work with Paint Supervisor and Process Engineer on process and engineering changes.
13.
Participate in Corrective Action Plan development, implementation and follow-up as quality problems occur.
14.
Evaluate and improve techniques to reduce downtime and improve the life of equipment.
15.
Document all activities as required.
16.
Provide support and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, union contracts, TS16949, ISO14001, and all applicable government regulations and standards.
17.
Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by management.
18.
Mentor junior paint Kitchen technicians with on-the-job training experience
19.
Perform PMs and repairs to paint kitchen equipment and paint systems as needed
Basic Education and Experience
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Experience in a paint manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Knowledge of:
* Customer schedule needs, meeting quality and production standards for services.
* Production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture.
* Paint viscosity in relationship to paint reduction with different types of reducing solvents.
Skills:
* Use of computers, preferably in a G.U.I.
or PC, Windows-based operating environment
* Organizing resources and establishing priorities.
* Support management in implementing short and long-term goals.
* Determine the kinds of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Ability to:
* Maintain processes, systems, and procedures with in the paint kitchen department.
* Communicate effectively, orally and in written.
* Maintain systems necessary to collect, to maintain, and analyze data.
