We have a fabulous job opportunity for a Handy Person to join our awesome team.

We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers.  

 

As a business we support customers with mental health support needs who live in supported accommodation in a wide range of properties and grounds.

As our handy person you’ll spend much of your time working across our different accommodation services in County Durham.

Job details 


* You will work Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm.

We are flexible, so long as customer needs are met, we’ll adapt work patterns to suit you


* Occasional travel to support other services as needed. 


* You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that. 


* Based at Sherwood House, Brandon (Durham), with travel across Co Durham properties

 

Typical day as a Handy Person

* Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas. 


* Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds. 


* Carry out regular fire safety checks. 


* Work with colleagues, commercial partners, and customers throughout the day. 


* Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit
