The Velys Power platform lies within the Velys Digital & Capital team in Johnson & Johnson Orthopaedics.  As a global leader in orthopedics, we are committed to getting patients back to their passions, while we look to advance procedural solutions across the many different clinical areas of orthopaedics.   
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

As a co-op in the Velys Power R&D department, opportunities exist to work on solutions such as electro-mechanical systems and their respective components (powered handpieces (i.e.

power tools), attachments, and cutting instruments).  Additionally, these tools will be integrated within a digital ecosystem unlocking new features that currently do not exist for our surgeon customers.  You will be provided with a training curriculum including on the job, virtual, and in classroom trainings.
 

The incumbent will be encouraged to lead portions of the projects driving product development and value creation initiatives that contribute to continued success of the Velys Power portfolio.

You will also be assigned a mentor to provide support throughout the program.
 

The position offers a unique opportunity to work independently and experience the end-to-end process of product development.

There is strong emphasis on providing an outstanding experience within orthopaedic medical device development.

This position will be on-site in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Qualifications:


* Must be enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electromechanical) in junior year or above....
