Under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, directs his/her efforts towards the effective utilization of labor, materials and equipment ensuring compliance with regulations and Company policies, satisfying customer demands through a cost-effective environment.

Responsibilities:


* Manages available resources to achieve a reliable, efficient, and productive operation.


* Assures both short and long-term manufacturing goals are met.


* Assures compliance to Company’s and Corporate’s rules, and regulations.


* Supports and facilitates new product launches to assure a successful implementation.


* Support career development of Facilitator, Maintenance Supervisor, or any other direct reports.


* Prepares Performance & Development Plan for direct reports.  Makes recommendations for salary increases and promotions.


* Develops and implements new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency.


* Fosters and enforces compliance with the Quality Policy and the Plant’s Vision.


* Prepares and/or approves procedures, specifications, policies, and any other official documents.


* Assures production requirements are met on a daily basis and decides on necessary adjustments to ensure a flexible and efficient operation.


* Ensures that disciplinary actions follow Company rules and policies.


* Participates in the selection, acquisition, and installation of new equipment, ensuring these comply with Quality requirements within the process flow.


* Identifies improvement opportunities related to personnel, equipment, procedures, and processes, and proposes alternatives oriented to optimize these areas.


* Trains and coaches direct reports acting as a valuable resource in the development of world class manufacturing initiatives.  (SPC, CFM, JIT).
