Global Security - Security Officer Shift Manager
Join our team to supervise and coordinate security team activities to ensure the safety and security of our premises.
The Global Security (GS) North America Physical Security team consists of a dynamic group of security professionals who are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and assets in our retail and corporate environments in North America.
As a Corporate Security Shift Officer within the Global Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of critical areas and personnel, inspecting grounds, controlling and monitoring access to buildings, reporting fire and safety hazards, managing alarms, and responding to emergencies.
You will have the opportunity to utilize your skills in critical infrastructure security operations, technical security, alarm management, and mobile communication and incident reporting applications.
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will be essential in this role.
This position will manage the 3p-11p shift.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead a team of security guards, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of security personnel, providing regular feedback.
* Coordinate security operations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
* Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action.
* Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and address security risks.
* Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
* Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and enforce company rules.
* Provide excellent customer service and ensure the safety of premises, employees, and visitors.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
* Active State Security Guard License
* CPR/AED/First Aid certification
* Security Officer experience
* Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
* Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
* Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
* Working knowledge of critical infrastructure security operations, technical security, alarm management and mobile communication
* Practice normal hygiene and personal cleanliness, neat in dress and appearance
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer and client focus
* High school diploma or equivalent
* This role may require you to work evening, overnight, and/or weekend hours
