Park Maintenance Worker - Parks (Lake Skinner)

The County of Riverside's Regional Parks and Open District Department seeks to fill one Park Maintenance Worker - Parks vacancy for the Lake Skinner Park division in the city of Temecula.

The park is located at 37701 Warren Rd.

Winchester, CA, 92596.

The selected candidate will possess a strong background in ground maintenance, particularly in parks, campgrounds, or natural environments.

Responsibilities include promptly addressing repair requests for plumbing, irrigation, and carpentry issues.

Competitive candidates will possess experience in plumbing and electrical skills, along with experience in maintaining splash pads or pool equipment.

The Park Maintenance Worker - Parks is a first professional level classification and reports to an appropriate supervisory or manager level position.

This classification is characterized by having as its primary function the performance of buildings and grounds maintenance duties.

Incumbents may occasionally perform public contact duties such as answering questions of park users regarding park facilities, and informing users of park rules and regulations.

The Park Maintenance Worker - Parks is distinguished from the Grounds Worker classification by the former's assignment of skilled and semi-skilled work.

Work Schedule


* 5 days, 40 hours a week (weekends will be part of the regular schedule)


* Hours will vary depending on department needs and special events


* Must be willing to work holidays and some evening events

• Operate a variety of trucks and tractors in hauling trash, dirt and rocks, and in clearing and leveling park areas and roadways.
